The extended telescoping handle adds efficiency and reduces strain on your lower back. Once collapsed, the handle removes easily from the scoop and stows conveniently in a pack for travel or making joyous turns downhill.

Took this on a 2 week tent based expedition to Greenland - consistently went missing arond the camp as everyone preferred to dig with this over theirs. and we did a lot of digging, - the D handle does it.

great shovel
We dug out our car and helped two other people dig out theirs with this shovel. It cuts through icy crust and is good for tight spots underneath the car, behind the tires. The shovel is sturdy and holds a lot of snow for a small shovel.

D handel is king!
The D handel is where its at. If you plan on using your shovel at all this is the one to get! Light enough you dont notice it in the pack and the d handle gives you the leverage you need.
