For the sixth year in a row, we’re proud to bring back the Voile Scholarship for Women in the Backcountry! This initiative is all about breaking down barriers and helping more women step confidently into the world of backcountry skiing and riding.

Applications open on Saturday, March 8th, and will close on Tuesday, April 8th. Winners will be announced the following week.

Who Can Apply

We know that many women are eager to venture further into the backcountry, but access to the right gear can be a major hurdle. That’s where this scholarship comes in. Whether you’re brand new to skiing or splitboarding, making the leap from resort laps to backcountry lines, or ready to push from mellow tours into technical mountaineering terrain, we want to help you get there.

Why “Women Only”

This scholarship isn’t about exclusion—it’s about creating balance. The backcountry community is growing, but women remain underrepresented. The Voile Scholarship for Women in the Backcountry is our way of helping to shift that, by equipping and empowering more women and woman-identifying adventurers to explore the mountains.

*Due to legal restrictions, applicants must be 21 years of age or older and reside in the United States of America

Grand Prize:

• A Voile.com credit of $1,600 USD to be used towards a pair of Voile skis or splitboard, bindings, shovel, probe, pole, and crampons.

*Eligible skis include all standard-edition skis (Hyper Series skis are excluded.) Prizes are inventory-dependent. Voile cannot provide or guarantee equipment that is low inventory or out of stock. Prize orders will be treated as regular customer orders.

Runner Up:

• A Voile.com credit of $800 USD to be used towards a pair of skis or splitboard.
